Oops
This is creepy; I'm getting to be like my parents, as I PROMISED another entry last night, but delayed it until today...I even had the same reason: I was tired and didn't feel like it...
Anyway, tonight should be eventful - after I'm done here, it's off to get a bite to eat, work on reeds, have a quick rehearsal w/ Andrea and Kathryn, practice some technique and other odds and ends, attend the Balinese Monkey Chant performance in the MOD, and then to the art opening. I'm hoping to get in another round of "Battlestar Galactica" as well, if Blake is up for it.
My lesson went pretty well, and we spent a good amount of time working on Beethoven and Saint-Saens. So, next up is finishing up the Haydn concerto. I just got out of an orch. rehearsal, and I have to say, that Ruhdyar piece is slowly growing on me - there's some nice places in there. Oh, and just now, outside ROD, it looked as though someone had collapsed, as there was a cop, some paramedics, and some other people there - I think I heard stroke or seizure or something like that.
Call me a drama queen if you wish, but I still can't believe I'm finally out to the 'rents. It feels so surreal, but I think things will be better in the long run, as there's really no more secrets, as far as I know. Of course, my previous escapades during the last 6 or so years can remain in my head or in the heads of those whom I tell, but I can bet that mom and dad DON'T want to hear about me hooking up w/ that guy @ MSU or how I was a total internet slut for almost any guy under 30 with a big dick...
I also picked up "8 Minutes in the Morning," @ the recommendation of Dr. Wenzel, so that should be an interesting time. "Wild @ Heart" is pretty good, too, and I'm glad Matt suggested it and that I'm reading it. It really brings back some of the good qualities about being a guy.
Enough for now; I'm starving.
